Left school back in 2008 and not long after started working as a youth worker, loved that time in my life as helping kids and teens alike open up and have a smile on there face was brilliant, unfortunately the funding run out and I was told I’m they wouldn’t be any work for me after the funding had run out, I applied for a job a British Gas and started doing weekends as part of the scheduling team, i was doing this while also working as a youth worker most weeks doing 7 days. Once I left the youth work fully, I started doing overtime In day at BG and was working mostly with a team of 2 overs managing over a hundred engineers in the London. I moved to the out of hours team not long after as I wanted spend more time with my family and left the weekend team, that consisted of mostly dealing with emergency across the whole of Scotland. After about 6 months of doing that I was offered a temporary role on the planning team whilst a colleague was on maternity leave, that consisted of planning engineer work over a 28 day period and making sure all engineers were booked with work and also days off were taken out of the system they had requested. I did that for a year and then as the secondment ended I approached the scheduling team ops manager about a vacancy and maybe moving in day, I got offered the role and started doing the early shift. 7-3 which had me making sure each engineer logged on time and providing managers across the area with information about how each patch was looking and how much emergency work had come in, in the area. I left British Gas and worked a first busses for a while in a CSA role which last about 7 months before I applied for a job at inseego on the scheduling team, I have been here for 4 years now. Scheduling and planning engineers work load, contacting customers needing appointments made to book engineer appointments, other things the job role consists of is inbox management, call answering and helping the team be as productive as possible.
