Aim:To explore and learn about the development of sustainable technologies, as well as their possibilities and limits in a real-life situation, following a woman engineer on the field. Focus:Two projects using sustainable technologies in Morocco:The use of a drip system to irrigate agricultural field, with a minimum use of water.The use of CSP technology to produce inexpensive and clean energy, which is fed to the national electricity network (providing energy to 200 000 households every day).I also visited the World's biggest solar plant, NOOR. I was captivated by the company's evolution from specializing in VSAT solutions to adapting to the emerging viability of terrestrial options in African countries.I had the chance to visit and learn about satellite infrastructure firsthand, and witnessed the cutting-edge technologies and infrastructure that power satellite communications. It was truly awe-inspiring to see the intricate systems and equipment that enable seamless internet access and data management across vast distances. I traveled to Fréjus in France, where I had the opportunity to meet with professionals from SONEMA's technical teams. They shared their expertise on project management, providing insights into the technical aspects of implementing and maintaining satellite networks, explaining the challenges involved in ensuring uninterrupted connectivity, especially in remote and challenging environments.Throughout my internship, I also had the chance to work closely with the sales and marketing team. I learned about the importance of prospecting, responding to requests for proposals, and conducting field presentations. I was exposed to the internal tools and methodologies used by the team for estimation and proposal management.Overall, my internship at SONEMA was a transformative experience. I not only gained practical knowledge about the telecommunications industry and project management, but I also had the unique opportunity to witness the intricacies of satellite infrastructure in Monaco and France.
