Tom has 40+ years experience in the US and International Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) business, with a focus on a variety of projects in the US, the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Over the course of his career, Tom has lived on the US East Coast, the Southwest, and Rocky Mountain region, as well as in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi. During this time, he has worked with developers, owners and contractors throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.He has a strong background in projects ranging from the tens of millions to several billions of dollars, in Commercial and Residential Land Development, Remote Camps & Life Support Facilities, Oil & Gas Processing and Refining, Petrochemicals, Power Generation & Distribution, plus Major Infrastructure projects including Desalination, Pipelines, Ports, Airports. Railroads, Highways, and related structures.Tom has assisted a variety of clients, representing developers and owners, as well as contractors and major suppliers. His responsibilities have included full P&L responsibility; long range execution planning; remote site and supply chain logistics, crisis management planning; contract preparation & negotiation; project management systems; construction management; the settlement of claims and contract disputes; and project close-outs.Partners and clients have included private sector interests, government entities, and NGOs.Tom's proactive approach to project management encourages all parties to recognize their respective obligations, document their performance and problems encountered, and enforce their contractual rights. Where difficulties arise, problem solving is best pursued through a systematic analysis of cause and effect, and negotiated compromise, before issue become contentious, and the parties become hardened in their positions.
