Over twenty years as owner/operator of Coastal Monitoring Inc., an environmental consulting & contracting company focusing on environmental compliance monitoring with oil/gas exploration companies (seismic surveys), oil spill response specializing in Shoreline Cleanup Assessment and Technique (SCAT) team, environmental/biological assessments, site characterization assessments, and limited Phase I site inspections on oil/gas well sites. Expertise in developing effective and efficient compliance programs, safety & environmental procedures, planning and implementing terrestrial and aquatic field logistics, and serving as an effective liaison between project managers, agencies, stakeholders, and on-site employees. A team player with performance and result driven goals. As an environmental compliance monitor, my responsibilities included making decisions on where and when land crews should access various habitats including critical and sensitive habitats as well as establishing adequate buffer zones around such habitat. Maintaining compliance with the environmental provisions stated in the federal, state, and local permits prevents work “cease and desist” occurrences allowing the project to maintain or to exceed end point expectations.Major oil/fuel releases may lead to intensive cleanup efforts. Past positions include Shoreline Cleanup Assessment and Technique (SCAT) team lead on the Mississippi River Fuel Oil Spill April 2018. Also served as Environmental Unit Lead, Environmental and Technical Advisor, Shoreline Treatment Response manager (STR manager), and Natural Resource Advisor (NRA) under the Incident Command System (ICS) on the 2010, BP, MC252, Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Environmental and biological site assessments that encompasses terrestrial and aquatic environments; wildlife, wildlife habitat, and vegetation surveys; Soil, water, and vegetation sampling and testing specializing in wetland/coastal environments.
