The main focus of my role is to provide financial direction and insight to enable stakeholders to make informed decisions. I support the creation and maintenance of a medium and long term financial plan for the business as a whole along whilst providing in-depth analysis and valuable financial insights. Key accountabilities include: - Working with individual business units and the Integrated Planning team to form a medium to long term consolidated financial plan. - Working with business units towards creating a "driver-based" forecasting approach to allow greater transparency between decision-making and financial outcomes and enabling scenario planning. - Maintaining corporate models to formulate longer-term projections, based on short term performance. - Analysing financial and operational result to provide insights to senior management to understand company performance and evaluating past performance to help develop future plans.

I have had three roles within my Graduate programme which have involved a variety of responsibilities.Responsibilities include:• Producing and presenting monthly reporting packs to management.• Providing timely, accurate and appropriate variance analysis to finance colleagues and other members of the organisation. Including the creation of a tool that allows our stakeholders to see our results in an understandable and efficient method. • To create and maintain a strong relationship with budget holders and key operational personnel in order to support the business wherever possible. • Production of half-year and year-end financial statements for multiple companies within the group.• Producing accurate balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations each month end.• Preparing annual budgets and forecasts for areas within the business as well as for the company’s subsidiaries.• Supporting the internal and external auditing process, including liaising with our external auditors and regulators.• Creating and developing analysis tools that are of use to both financial and non-financial colleagues and that add value to the business, such as a click tool to recognise what costs can be capitalised.• Management of sales and purchase invoices and liaising with the treasury department to ensure all invoices are paid on time and within our credit period.

I was employed as the student Referee Activator at the University of Portsmouth where my role was to oversee all the referees signed up to the referee hub, allocate referees for matches and help develop and mentor referees.
