Sr. Network Systems Administrator

Houston, Texas, Us

After Sanchez Energy Corporation filed for bankruptcy, the companies separated into three different entities, I moved with Evolve (formally Sanchez Midstream Partners). I successfully oversaw standing up an entirely new infrastructure, creating a new Active Directory Domain, Azure Tenant, and MS365 subscription and migrated key systems, users, & data with virtually zero downtime, while maintaining SOX compliance. I went from working within a great team to running all aspects of IT alone, maintaining a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with executive management. Primary Tools: O365, Exchange Online, Azure, VMware, MS Servers, Active Directory, Veeam, Teams Phone, Manage Engine ADAudit Plus & AD Manager Plus, Citrix DaaS, Watchguard Firewalls.• When separating from our parent company, I migrated the existing Sanchez Oil & Gas Active Directory domain to a new location while the parent company built a new infrastructure. I migrated all users and servers to new location utilizing Azure Files to synchronize data across three locations.• Once completely separated from parent company, I built out a third Active Directory infrastructure for Evolve, separating from Sanchez Family Management, with Evolve now standing up in its own environment, with a new Azure tenant, MS365 tenant, as well as new Active Directory Domain.• Modernized our technology infrastructure, starting first with the implementation of a Hybrid Cloud and Virtual Technology Platform with MS Azure, Office 365 and Exchange Online, Veeam cloud backups, and VMware.o Successfully installed VMware vSphere for on-prem servers. The majority of the systems are in Azure, including Citrix Environment. o Migrated to Office 365/Exchange Online only from Hybrid configuration.o Migrated to Teams Phones providing substantial cost savings.

Sr. Network Systems Administrator

After a merger with Constellation Energy Partners, successfully integrated into a tight knit IT team and became an integral member of the IT department, as the escalation point for systems and support. Assumed a leadership role and expanded responsibilities which allowed my manager to focus on strategy in his new role as a VP without worrying about the hands-on technical issues. Built a strong and mutually beneficial relationship. In a fast-paced environment, am very adaptive and responsive to company needs. As the marketplace expanded and then contracted, scaled the infrastructure to meet corporate requirements, both for increasing demand and for decreasing demand. For each, applied expertise in meeting stakeholder expectations, supporting mission critical business applications, and creating stable and reliable systems. Primary Technologies: O365, Exchange Online, Azure, VMware, MS Servers, Active Directory, ADFS, NetApp, Nimble, Veeam

Also, responsible for contract management, procurement, maintenance and support, and disaster recovery. Brought in to support a newly formed company, a subsidiary of Constellation Energy, and managed the full separation of the technology infrastructure, so the company could operate independently.
