Tom Hench is a Professor at UW-La Crosse at University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Colleagues describe him as "I remember the first time I met Dr. Hench. He was my advisor, and I was seeking advice for deciding a major. He encouraged me to think outside the box and that it didn't matter what major I had chosen. I was becoming frustrated because I knew that in order to graduate, I needed to declare a major. I couldn't just declare an "outside the box" major. Which college would that fall in? After taking two courses with Dr. Hench, I finally am able to understand what he meant by "outside the box". It's not what courses you take or your ability in memorizing, it's about how you perform that really matters. Learning how to make decisions and understanding its complexities is essential in the business world. Without Dr. Hench's wonderful notions, I wouldn't have learned how to effectively analyze and formulate solid opinions to assist me in the real world.
