Worked in the technical team within the integrity department. My work included:• An investigation into required ball numbers for elite tournaments, using SQL queries of databases and statistical techniques in Python to conduct risk analysis and write a framework for minimally invasive implementation of my findings. • Writing and conducting a study into the performance effects of repressurising balls for recreational play with a goal of reducing ball numbers.• Presentation of results to ITF Technical Commission and Foundation members• Efficient approval testing of tennis balls, following standard operating procedures, and integration of a scheduling tool to maintain strict turn-around times for reporting on results of testing, minimising non-conformities. • Lab management and maintenance, completing regular calibrations of equipment, following ISO:9001 protocols and contributing to passing a BSI audit in Feb 2023. • Use of specialist equipment to test court pace both in a laboratory environment and on-site, travelling independently and liaising with event organisers, as well as the independent development of a filtering algorithm to improve efficiency and accuracy of results• Use of High-Speed Video cameras to assess the quality of electronic line calling systems on-site, for both currently used systems and those under development.

Invited by Dr Steph Forrester to join a research team of 3 Loughborough scientists on a FIFA project to analyse 3G surfaces of varying specifications. My work involved:• Physical laying of the pitches• Quantitative data collection using Advanced Artificial Athlete and Rotational Resistance Traction Test devices• Collection of qualitative perception data from footballers • Writing MATLAB code for data analysis• Presentation of findings to researchers at the Sports Technology Institute.
