If my previous experience highlights anything, it is my ability to learn to a high standard across a broad range of topics. During my A-levels I studied maths, graphic design, IT, amongst others, eventually leading me to study a course in Creative Media Technology at Leeds Beckett University. Here I got a taste of HTML and CSS used in the web design module, which sparked a newfound passion for coding. During this time, I also found myself competing in swimming for the university team, at one of the highest standards I had ever reached. I am a lifelong swimmer, and it is my greatest passion. I made the decision to pursue this path in life to its fullest, changing degrees to Sports and Exercise Science, where I would eventually graduate with a 2:1 and an unforgettable three years worth of life experiences. As part of my dissertation on the effects of pre-race music on sprint swimming performance, I collected and analysed a huge amount of data. This introduced me to IBM’s SPSS data analysis software, and the language used to code it - Python. I learned the basics of Python to better understand the software and it’s functionality, which reignited my passion for coding.I am now pursuing a career in data science through AICore - a fantastic organisation that will give me all the tools, knowledge, understanding, and experience with real world technology used in the industry, to take my coding to the next level and turn my passion into a career.
