Working as an independent communication designer since 1996, Tom Hulan opened his first design office that same year. In 2001 move to Berlin. 
After independent work as an Art Director for Gestalten, he founded the graphic studio blackjune™. A focus on corporate, entertainment, sports, and fashion developed projects for employers as diverse as Adidas, Audi, Emi Music, FIFA, Freecom, Peter Maffay, O2, Paul van Dyk, Red Bull, Sony BMG, Volkswagen, and many more.
In 2009 he returned to Austria, taking his international experience along with him to contribute to the founding of Q2 Werbeagentur GmbH – an agency for on- and offline communication. Serving clients like: Adidas, Aspöck Systems, Atomic, cerabyte, BlackSemi, Datareporter, Dynell, eww group, HILL international, Frauscher Sensortechnik, Gföllner, Greiner AG, Goldoni, Klinikum Wels-Grieskirchen, KAINDL, Kraiburg, Kronospan, KTM, IPM Schober Fenster, Levitaz Kite Foils, Molto Luce, PARGA, NEVEON, PALFINGER AG, Rhomberg Sersa, Svenson Suite, Teufelberger, VTA, WKO, Zweite Heimat, and many more.
