He has extensive administrative experience in clinical operations, program development and… Show more Tom Inge joined the faculty at University of Colorado, Denver in 2017 after spending 17 years in practice at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. In his new role as Chief of the Division of Pediatric Surgery, he leads a team of over 30 pediatric surgeons and advanced practice providers. His primary clinical expertise is in minimally invasive pediatric thoracic and general surgery. He has extensive administrative experience in clinical operations, program development and implementation, and quality management. Tom also has extensive experience in clinical outcomes research. With more than 10 years of continuous research funding support from the National Institutes of Health, he has led a national effort to build a strong evidence base defining the role of gastric surgery to treat adolescents with clinically severe obesity. He has authored or co-authored 140 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and provided over 120 invited lectures for national and international professional groups. Tom is a member of the Federal Drug Administration’s Gastrointestinal Devices Committee, and has served as a consultant to the NIH and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). He has also served in leadership positions on numerous committees and task forces for surgical and pediatric professional organizations.
