Sales in all aspects of building materials, from the foundation to the kitchen sink. As part of daily duties, along with customer service, I am responsible for making sure that freight is received correctly. I also am part of a TEAM that is responsible for inventory control. I am a "hands-on" individual, who would just as soon be in the trenches with my coworkers. I lead by example.

With a background in the automotive industry, it was an easy fit. I filled customer orders, and when necessary, looked to other scources for a particular item. From lead, I moved up to assistant manager, where I held that position for 3 years, until being promoted to store manager.

Primary focus was on propane delivery, although I was kept busy maintaining bulok storage tanks as well as installing new systems.

As well as merchandising, I would put on small "how-to" clinics for those less learned. I designed an underground sprinkler system for one customer, and showed countless others how to correctly wire or plumb their project. Also high on the list was my ability to instruct folks how to properly hang or install sheetrock, and then finish the job with a coat of paint.
