Sr. Manager - Loyalty PMO 2010 to 2013Manager of 3 - 5 PM’s (contract and employee) to support the Loyalty (Mileage Plus) IT project portfolios across the highly matrixed United IT Organization. • As a hands-on leader, mentored and directed the Loyalty PMO to define monthly financial forecasts, initiate projects and coordinate manpower utilization across teams. He led efforts to prioritize and provide on-going status for Key Business initiatives for the executive and working business teams. o Key Business Initiatives directly managed: Global Entry, TSA Name Change, MP Wallet.• Provided overall guidance for the Loyalty systems portion of the Continental and United Passenger Service Systems merger. o Provided direct management of the program to create a combined 70-million-member frequent flyer customer database, resulting in a recognition letter from CEO Jeff Smisek. o Led testing and cut-over night activities, reporting to senior leadership. • Mileage Plus 2.0: Program Manager: Provided PMO level oversight of the $32 mm program. Organized projects into releases and guided individual projects to completion. Responsible for Business communications and status reports to I.T leadership. IT Program / Project Manager As a consultant for Greenbriar & Russel, (Fujitsu) provided leadership for major investments analysis and the delivery of the first Web Based booking system for United Airlines. Most of this time period was working at United Airlines with a few smaller client projects for other firms. • Led efforts to define program charter and identify high level requirements and solution options for a series of projects that required a $19M budget with an ROI of over $70M. • Led the team to refine the projects Charter, Scope, Policies & Procedures, Risk / Issue management processes, Communication Plans, Program Organization, overall schedules, and budget for a $23M program. The complex program involving three outside vendors was managed to a series of Go Live releases and project closure. • A special executive leadership board and communications plan was defined to help drive the program and teams through final QAT effort, issue / scope management, and go live periods. • Formed a SWAT team effort to solve performance issues between the United Data centers and the ITA Schedule data Web Services facility. o The team found the problems, helped ITA and the United Data centers make the required changes to achieve performance goals.

IT Program / Project Manager• Claims Systems Migration o Acting as a Managing Consultant and Program Manager, led a team of 15 Consultants and 4 Employees on the migration, implementation, and support of a complete Claims system migration from Kemper to Unitrin. • Claims Systems and Commercial Call Center o As a Project Manager, led the Claims System Commercial Call Center software replacement project. • Claims Interface Systems o As a Technical Project Manager of a 2-5-person Development team and 2 Business Analysts worked directly with the client’s customer (Boeing), to design and created a process that would load 70,000 claims with 8.5 million payment transactions within a four-day time frame. • Claims Notice of Loss Interface o As a Project Manager and Technical Team Lead on a Notice of Loss Interface project, led the 12 person Development team and 2 Business Analysts. o The project was to define a first ever system that collected NOL (Notice of Loss) transactions from various systems and loaded them into the legacy CICS claims systems in real-time. The system, which provided a yearly savings of over $5M, was delivered on time and within budget.
