Tom Jamison is the President and owner of Lake Superior Medical Equipment, Inc., in Duluth Minnesota. Lake Superior Medical Equipment provides medical equipment and supplies for the home health care market and has offices in Duluth and Cloquet Minnesota. Prior to acquiring Lake Superior Medical Equipment, Tom was a commercial litigator with Fruth, Jamison & Elsass PLLC in Minneapolis Minnesota. While practicing law, Tom received the highest rating (AV) from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, and selected repeatedly as a "Super Lawyer" in Business Litigation by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine and Super Lawyers. Tom represented parties in a wide range of business disputes. -- Represented a group of dissenting shareholders in a business valuation case in the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Delaware Supreme Court. The Court of Chancery awarded Tom's clients a 50% increase over the merger price received by non-dissenting shareholders and the Delaware Supreme Court upheld the award in favor of Tom's clients. -- Represented an investor in a FINRA arbitration who was sold more than $2 million of unsuitable annuities. In addition to recovering his losses on his investment, Tom’s client was awarded nearly $250,000 in attorneys and expert fees and $20,000 in sanctions against the defendants for their improper discovery responses. -- Represented the Receiver and Bankruptcy Trustees appointed in the wake of the $3.6 billion Petters Ponzi scheme. Tom’s work on this matter included overseeing the filing of more than 20 lawsuits seeking to recover funds for victims of the Ponzi scheme. Tom is a former investment banker who helped companies raise capital in both the private and public equity markets. He has advised business clients on a wide range of legal issues and was a long-time board member of a publicly-traded medical device company.
