Tom is a member of the Leadership Team at Choice and works alongside the CFO, Chief Banking Officer and President of Choice Financial Services in their important roles that drive customer and stakeholder success. Prior, Tom served in an executive leadership capacity at TCF Financial Corporation (TCF, $1.04 B revenue, $23.7 B assets). He had progressive experience - from CFO, to multiple business line leadership roles, and ultimately as Vice Chairman & COO overseeing strategy and corporate development. While serving as CFO, he was on point for TCF’s denovo expansion into its commercial inventory finance business. He successfully negotiated key elements of the transaction and the resulting business grew to over $3B in assets with sustained levels of high profitability. As Vice Chairman & COO, he co-developed and led a new, comprehensive strategic planning process that, over the next several quarters, led to a unique merger of equals transaction with Chemical Bank. From a marketplace perspective, the announced transaction was the best received bank M&A transaction (valued at over $1 B) in the preceding two years.Mr. Jasper has extensive experience in public company, private company and non-profit board settings. He served as a Vice Chairman on the board of directors of TCF. Tom is regarded as an ethical business leader, independent thinker, and collaborative relationship builder.
