About Tom Katch

Architect Louis H. Sullivan coined the phrase, "Form follows function". I learned this in my architecture and city and regional planning studies at Illinois Institute of Technology and it has become a guiding force for me. I love to create and to build meaningful and beautiful things and that drives me at Kataaro to perfect my craft.I started my career in architecture at various firms and then construction management at Graycor Construction for 8 years. When afforded the opportunity to build something from scratch, I jumped at it and built Kataaro. Now Kataaro is known as the best in the world for custom martial arts products. Always starting with purpose and functionality, we strive for beauty in form.
