I worked mainly behind the cash register at GAP. Here, I had to meet certain targets by gathering email addresses of each customer to provide them with a discount card. My ability to not shy away from conversation with any customer ensured my success at surpassing these targets each shift. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to people from different backgrounds from all corners of the globe and found a sense of fulfilment when helping a customer find what they were after. I won the monthly customer service award here twice too due to my success behind the cash register and my willingness to work hard whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.

As host, and often head host, it was my responsibility to manage the restaurants seating plan to ensure capacity we made maximum use of each table throughout the night. In addition, I had to juggle customer bookings alongside customers who had just walked in for a table and ensure that we always met expectations set by ourselves to our guests on timings of tables. Understanding everything about 'Open Table' was key to the success. As the first point of contact with the guests I had to ensure the relationship started on the right foot and even before they had sat down they felt positive about the experience. This involved dealing with customer queries and complaints efficiently, thinking on my feet to ensure we fixed any issue that did occur with the customer at the forefront of each decision.

After completing my four rotational placements in European Trailer Operations, Sales/Account Management, Central Support Operations and Pharmaceutical Operations, I am now in my final part of the Graduate Scheme.Currently I am Account Managing a large European customer of Kuehne & Nagel, handling the day to day operations as well as ensuring high customer service levels whilst managing the team to achieve the KPI's.
