As the Founder of Behavioral Science Technology (BST), Dr. Krause was a pioneer of what came to be known as “Behavior Based Safety”. BST is now a widely recognized global safety consulting firm. Over a 33 year period Tom led their growth and eventual sale to Dekra Insight. During his leadership of BST, the company conducted over 2,300 consulting projects in 60 countries. Following the Columbia space shuttle tragedy in 2004, BST was selected out of 41 organizations to design a safety culture change initiative for NASA. Tom was responsible for leading the BST team and personally coaching NASA’s top leaders.He also contributed widely in thought-leadership at BST.
