Recruited to introduce packaging services to the business portfolio offered by Creata. Creata specialize in the marketing and advertising business and our plan is to build packaging services to compliment the current business offerings of product (promotional and device), promotions, digital & strategy. Target customers are in the existing portfolio, inclusive of many Fortune 500 companies, along with new clients.

Aligned the HGS internal global packaging operations team with the McDonalds corporate global packaging team. Developed the team charter for the organization, resulting in an aligned approach to the packaging category across all world zones (North America, Europe, APMEA, and Latin America.

Managed the transition of a 37 member APMEA (Asia Pacific Middle East Africa) staff from a de-centralized, market specific team to a centralized, regionalized team of product specialists, covering 38 markets, managing 120+ suppliers and over $400 mm USD. Hired and coached staff in several markets throughout APMEA (Japan, China, Hong Kong, SIngapore, Australia, India and Dubai)Established a matrix organization designed to deliver strategic packaging services to the McDonalds organization in the region. During this time, also successfully on-boarded the Japanese market into the overall HGS portfolio, while implementing an import strategy into the market resulting in significant cost savings. Also, introduced a strategic packaging category management governance process, resulting in significant reduction in duplicate efforts across the region, while improving the cycle time in delivering results.

Promoted to interim MD of overall Latin American business unit, responsible for Packaging Services, Promotions Management & Supply Chain Analytics, a $150mm USD+ business. Managed a team of 18 (9 in country packaging staff & 9 in house promotions staff), responsible for 27 markets, over 75 supplier partners (packaging, toy agencies and safety labs). Successfully built the business from an import from the US only model, to that of supplying a full service portfolio of strategic packaging and promotions management. Hired and coached staff based in various countries in Latin (Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Panama & Puerto Rico)During this time, HGS was named 2004 Supplier of the Year by McDonalds Latin America at their Worldwide Convention. We were also two time most value-added supplier to the McDonalds Caribbean/Central American market. On a personal note, was 3 time internal Presidents Award recipient at HGS.

Led the opening of the Canada division of the Packaging Services operation, adding over $60mm USD in revenue. Coached the US based team on requirements needed as a multi-national company. On behalf of McDonalds, identified the best sources of packaging supply, either local, regional imports or import from the US, for the grand openings of 8 Latin American markets.

Recruited by Havi management for an ex-pat assignment in Europe, living in Holland and England, to assist in the development of the European branch of the Packaging Services business. This is now a $450mm USD business supporting McDonalds and other key customers. Created the product development & quality assurance departments, hiring and training staff.

One of the initial team that established the sales promotion & premium development division within the Havi Group. Established the creative/product development & product safety/QA departments, hiring and training staff. Introduced over 25 new toy concepts in the the NA & European markets. Traveled extensively to Hong Kong, China & Korea to oversee toy production.

First packaging professional hired by the Havi Group, to support the packaging development needs of their main customer, McDonalds. Established the need for an R&D department within the Havi organization.
