I’m an experienced Applications Chemist with extensive experience working with an array of additives including heterogeneous catalysts, colloids, polymers, surfactants / surface additives and rheology modifiers, predominantly in the catalysis and paper coating sectors.Key responsibilities include formulation and product development, leading strategically important projects and identifying new markets and applications. Another key responsibility is managing and maintaining relationships with a key customer in the paper coating sector.I am also involved in a number of business activities including developing marketing material for BYK’s product range within the catalyst and paper coating sectors. This is a keen interest of mine as it allows me to combine my chemical background with my business acumen, which enables me to be involved in the entire process; from product development to generating sales. Notable achievements include contributing to the development of the clay catalyst strategy which promotes the use of environmentally friendly heterogeneous catalysts suitable for a green and sustainable chemical industry.I am part of the Health and Wellbeing Committee at BYK Additives with which I am a Mental Health Champion. My responsibilities include implementing a set of core standards and ensuring the company adhere to said standards, increasing the awareness of mental health on site, organising and promoting workshops and online trainings to provide employees with strategies to improve mental health.
