It seems like I've been unwittingly led to where I find myself today: Residing in Auroville, and a proud and privileged member of the Eco Femme team.My professional path began in a University Physics laboratory, followed by a career in software engineering, then being part of the founding teams of two Tech Start-ups. Followed by seven years in management consulting - coaching, leadership and team development, conflict resolution, organization development - always with a focus on facilitating organizations "fit for the human spirit". Then a big shift to gardening, and much time for introspection! Finally in 2021 a move to Auroville, which has felt like home since my first visit in 2012. Encountering the Yoga of Sri Aurobindo, about 25 years ago, radically changed my life. From then onward, I understood my path: Being part of a movement for the evolutionary emergence of a more conscious, more benevolent humanity.I have always been passionately interested in how we can create a better world, for each of us, for our environment, and for our children. Since 1990 I have been engaged in an ongoing exploration and adventure in personal and collective psychological and spiritual development, group process, leadership, communication, diversity, conflict resolution, masculine/feminine reconciliation, self-organization, non-hierarchical models of organization, feminine leadership and much more!I met Kathy on my first visit to Auroville and we became good friends over the years. Last October she invited me to become part of the Eco Femme team, initially to help with some consulting, then gradually becoming more involved in day-to-day operations. I cannot express my sense of gratitude and privilege to be part of this beautiful organization. Everyday I learn and become nourished so much, through witnessing Kathy and Jessamijn’s demonstration of leadership, and through being immersed in a loving, inclusive and challenging environment. Some of my big life questions have been related to how we collectively balance the heart and the mind, the feminine and the masculine, order and disorder, hierarchy and anarchy, planning and emergence. Eco Femme for me is a living laboratory which practically engages with these issues, challenges and paradoxes on a daily basis.
