Why would someone with 17 years in Healthcare and Medical Devices and 17 years in Financial Services want to return to his roots?Viewing the changes ahead in healthcare, my trans-industry experience brings a unique perspective and fresh eyes to the challenges faced by the healthcare/device industry today. I see an exciting opportunity to merge my passions to make a difference in medical devices and healthcare, where, for me, it all started. Immersed in the world of medicine, researching kidney dialysis and heart oxygenators, assisting on 150 open heart cases as a member of a heart bypass team, and selling a variety of medical devices and capital equipment in almost every area and to almost every key decision maker defined the first half of my career. When faced with a significant promotion and opportunity to expand my influence, I had to make a choice.I prioritized family over relocation with Eli Lilly and Company. My career continued at a wealth management firm that had served me for 7 years. I was able to lead the firm to find solutions in developing deeper relationships with clients and to accelerate the firm’s growth, resulting in it becoming one of the top wealth management organizations in the country. While there, I played a critical role in their successful transition to a new CEO. My next step was to join a real estate investment firm with whom I had been an investor for 15 years. I was able to be a leading force as we navigated rapid growth, economic, product and regulatory issues that came at an ever increasing pace. That firm became a market leader as well.My desire is to meld the parts of my career for which I have the greatest passion: a passion for introducing disruptive technology to healthcare settings and a passion for developing people to accomplish what they deem not possible. Those passions, will allow my team to make a difference in all aspects of their lives all while achieving impressive results.
