Tom recently joined NFP as Managing Director of NFP’s Trade Credit and Political Risk Insurance Practice. Prior to being acquired by NFP, Tom built a successful Trade Credit Insurance brokerage in Canada and the US. Tom brings a unique combination of experience crossing North America and Europe, encompassing board-level, strategic, and functional roles that include: strategic planning; credit risk management; captive solutions; securitization development; marketing; business development; product development; channel development; and change management. With Trade Credit Insurance so closely tied to financing, Tom’s 30+ years of experience has included commercial lending and mid-market securitization. He was Chief Executive of Trade Indemnity Canada, a leading Trade Credit Insurance underwriter; Senior VP and Board Member of Euler, North America's largest Trade Credit Insurer; Board Member of Euler’s mid-market securitization joint venture, Finacity; and head of e-commerce worldwide for the Euler Group. Tom has an MBA from the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey School of Business.
