I am a freelance consultant specialising in the commodity and financial markets, including banking. I have expertise in agriculture and food security, as well as the post-Soviet world, where I worked on economic reform projects and fact-finding missions from 1992-2000, and have done many consultancy tasks on agricultural trade.In recent years I have concentrated on trade, food security and financial reforms, affecting a wide range of countries. Recently I returned to part-time university teaching.My consultancy clients have included ActionAid, Banana Link, the Common Fund for Commodities, Concord, DfID, the EBRD, the European Parliament, FAO, Global Justice Now, Greenpeace International, ICFTU, IIED, IISD, the International Trade Centre, Landell Mills, Oxfam, PSI, RDI, the RSPB, the South Centre, Traidcraft, UNCTAD and the World Bank.
