Missionexus - Varied Responsibilities; Pioneers Int'L - Consultant At Large
CurrentTom is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM) and the University of North Texas (PhD in Higher Education/Administration.) He has over 40 years of ministry leadership experience with CRU, BEE (Biblical Education by Extension International,) as founding pastor of Beijing’s Capital Community Church and with Pioneers International. During twenty years of living in China, Tom and Iris helped launch BEE’s Asia effort that has instructed thousands in the region. He also served as founding pastor of Beijing’s Capital Community Church, an outreach to the business and diplomatic community, that grew to about 800 in regular attendance during the ten years Tom led the congregation. More recently, Tom served as Pioneer’s VP for Member Development, managing a team of seventeen that provides instruction, encouragement and crisis management for 1200 Pioneers mission staff deployed around the world.
