Architected and executed leadership-development and organizational-change programs for the national office of Easterseals, which is leading the way to full equity, inclusion, and access through life-changing disability and community services.

Led a national team to develop leadership and change capacities for executives in the nation's largest human-services nonprofit organization. Solutions included robust cohort-learning immersions that prepare prospective and current YMCA CEOs and other executives; YMCA of the USA's by-invitation Leadership Symposium for future Y thought leaders, in partnership with Washington University in St. Louis; the Y's acclaimed Leading Change action-learning program for executives and teams; custom virtual instructor-led learning and e-learning; executive coaching; assessments; and online resources to support the development of Cause-Driven Leadership®. Co-led a national initiative to build Y capacities in systems thinking, systems change, equity, and community engagement. Seen as a highly regarded facilitator and presenter.

Led a national team charged with developing proprietary leadership competencies among 20,000 professional staff and 50,000 governance volunteers in the nation's largest nonprofit organization. Oversaw a portfolio of learning solutions to develop YMCA staff at all leader levels, from entry-level to CEO, in a federated structure that includes almost 900 corporate associations.

Provided senior-level strategy, coaching, advisory services, development, project management and interim leadership for businesses and organizations in the areas of talent, teams, meetings and management.

Led strategy and operations for global Talent Management function in Gartner, the world’s premier information technology research and advisory firm. Created and delivered talent-management products and services for the Gartner corporation and business units, in four practice areas that included competency development; predictive modeling; performance management; associate engagement; Gartner University; career development; succession management. Responsible for strategic planning, global management, operations, marketing, vendor relations.

Led strategy and operations for Gartner's corporate university, including global professional development, performance management and succession management. Oversaw curriculum, product development and implementation, and internal marketing. Managed $2.4-million budget, international staff of eight, and vendors and consultants.

Advised Gartner’s new president and a newly established team of internationally matrixed business leaders on cross-functional leadership and work practices; effective team management realigning the company’s strategy and operations. Co-designed the learning strategy for a revitalized Gartner University. Advised Senior Vice President, Workplace, on staffing, implementation and budgeting for the university’s launch.

Co-founded a consulting and research & development firm to promote responsible leadership through organizational learning and effective interpersonal communication. Clients included Xerox Corporation, EDS, DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, Shell Oil Company, National Public Radio, Center for Community Change.
