Sr Lead Engineer
Current- One of the core members of a team responsible for IP backbone planning, design, and optimization across a 10Tbps Tier1 network supporting internet, vpn, voip, voice-switched, E911, metro Ethernet, and DSL traffic.
- A primary contributor to developing and implementing methods and procedures for backbone planning including multi dimensional traffic forecasting, extensive Perl, Python and SQL based data mining, and robust next.
- Contributed to multiple initiatives and projects promising backbone efficiency gains and capital savings ranging from 5-30% while ensuring a complex set of SLAs and performance expectations are met or exceeded.
- Requires extensive knowledge of IP network protocols and configurations and subsequent traffic behavior during healthy state and across an exhaustive set of possible failed states.
