Current• One of the core members of a team responsible for IP backbone planning, design, and optimization across a 10Tbps Tier1 network supporting internet, vpn, voip, voice-switched, E911, metro Ethernet, and DSL traffic. • A primary contributor to developing and implementing methods and procedures for backbone planning including multi dimensional traffic forecasting, extensive Perl, Python and SQL based data mining, and robust next generation approaches to network simulation.• Contributed to multiple initiatives and projects promising backbone efficiency gains and capital savings ranging from 5-30% while ensuring a complex set of SLAs and performance expectations are met or exceeded.• Requires extensive knowledge of IP network protocols and configurations and subsequent traffic behavior during healthy state and across an exhaustive set of possible failed states.
