Mr. Machen has over 39 years of combined experience in the environmental remediation, drilling and heavy civil construction industry. He has worked in the capacity of Construction Superintendent, managing projects in value from $10,000 to $29 million. He presently holds the position of Director of Construction Craft Management, in which he is responsible for managing the labor work force of approximately 600 nonunion and 2,300 union hourly craft workers and the associated indirect departmental budgets for six different departments averaging approximately $1.3 million each annually.Mr. Machen has managed field projects ranging from chemically impacted soils removal, demolition, groundwater treatment systems construction, fuel distribution retrofit, soil vapor treatment systems construction, well installation (groundwater, monitoring and geothermal) and heavy civil dirt construction projects.Mr. Machen is Aptim's Qualifier for the California General Engineering A (and HAZMAT) License, #815620, and C-21 Demolition license as the Responsible Managing Employee (RME).
