Director Of Agricultural Partnerships
CurrentManage agriculture related food sourcing programs including the Pennsylvania Agricultural Surplus System (PASS) and the federal Farm to Food Bank (F2F) program using state, federal, and donor funds to secure a variety of surplus agricultural products from Pennsylvania farmers, processors, and producers on behalf of Pennsylvania’s food banks. Build relationships and manage food sourcing, program communications, and related special projects to ensure strong demand, steady supply, and a variety of free and low-cost Pennsylvania products for Pennsylvania food banks. Develop and maintain mutually supportive relationships with Management, Food Sourcing, and Operations staff of member food banks to ensure a high level of cooperation Manage budget and communications plans to support efficient operation of programs and promotions of advocacy, successes, and opportunities. Develop strategic plan for value-added components of the PASS program to meet the needs of the food banks and their clients while maintaining nutrition and extending shelf-life of the product for distributionCollaborate with Feeding PA food sourcing committee and Feeding PA’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Cooperative (MARC) employees for sourcing, logistics and accounting functions to proactively ensure any supply, transportation, cost, logistical or quality issues are addressed immediately, and processes improved to limit reoccurrenceEstablish the Pennsylvania Agricultural Partnerships Council on behalf of Feeding Pennsylvania that consists of agriculture and key food bank industry leaders to steer the development of Agri-based programs and cultivate advocacy support
