I was the Supervisor over 6 janitorial staff as well as one Carpenter/Painter position and was responsible for upkeep of the entire facility and the grounds. My direct report was the Engineering Manager, who I worked closely with. We also did maintenance projects such as painting and repairs of the older section of the building, designing new work space, moving departments from one area to another. We handled all paper, plastic and aluminum recycling. I ordered all chemicals, supplies and equipment for the department. I took requests from our in house clients for needs that they had and problems in the facility. I worked with sub contractors on bids and specifications. Customer service was a big part of this job. From 1992 to 2000 I was the Shipping and Receiving Manager and before that I started out in the Mailing department and worked my way into Supervision over Shipping and Receiving.
