Responsibilities- Using CREO Parametric to maintain and update CAD component library for 3D models and respective drawings, including supplier changes, design optimisations and customer integration.- Updating Drawing Log to reflect component specifications, revision and release date.- Specifying new systems to meet customer requirements, using performance calculations and supplier data to ensure the system will function and tolerate required environments. - Using AutoCAD to produce a 2D working outline for current and proposed systems to ensure all components interface correctly, and that new parts meet design requirements. - Designing new components, when necessary, in collaboration with suppliers local/international to ensure material requirements and tolerances can be met.- Lead redesign project to overhaul dimensions and tolerances on existing system, ensuring optimised solution provided a robust design that manufacturers could achieve consistently and that improved the competitiveness of the system in the market. - Completing Drawing Release, BOM Creation and Part Number Creation processes. - Completing supplier approval documentation, ensuring that supplier drawings meet requirements and that the components are validated mechanically before signing them off for production. - Signing off technical and first-time builds going through production.- Liaising between Sales team for customer requirement, purchasing for supplier lead times, and quality for production and ensuring build standards. - Member of DFMEA team responsible for generating a department wide master document that could be easily tailored for new projects.

I worked a number of jobs throughout my time at the agency, gaining valuable experience in warehouse logistics and manufacturing. UKmail: This job involved receiving and sorting mail depending on size and destination. Time management and organisational skills were enhanced due to the tight time constraints on the job.MX Group LTD: This job was based on the factory floor during the manufacturing of shower beds. I was responsible for the maintenance and servicing of the moulds used for custom shower beds, where communication and attention to detail were key skills required throughout. I also gained valuable experience in the engineering manufacturing environment and commercial production.

While working as a Summer Intern at Amcor, I finished my workload ahead of schedule and requested to work with the Engineering department and gain some vital manufacturing experience. This included hands on experience with different functions of engineering inside a production facility, giving me a good insight into the maintenance and production functions.I also gained additional experience in the Quality department, which involved finding internal and external issues with a product and finding solutions for them. This was achieved by consulting different departments and using my own knowledge, while under a time constraint to keep production on schedule.

The job was split 50/50 between being a teaching assistant in a maths class and mentoring students in 1-1 sessions.The role of teaching assistant involved working with troublesome students within the classroom to stop them disrupting the flow of the class. It also included helping the students with their work, and issues with their homework.The 2nd part of my role was mentoring underachieving students in a 1-1 capacity. This involved identifying the student's weaknesses and finding teaching methods to help the student achieve better grades. The role also involved helping the students with their confidence, encouraging underconfident students, and helping overconfident students rule out silly mistakes.
