Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, I am the third generation in my family to work in the construction industry as a Journeyman Red Seal Carpenter and a hands-on Project Site Supervisor. My true talent lies not only in my carpentry skills but in my knowledge of project management, site supervision, leadership skills as well as business development and management. I have the ability to gain new knowledge and learn new skills very quickly. During my apprenticeship with PCL Construction I worked on commercial and industrial projects and commercial tenant improvements, and then continued on with private contractors on high-end residential renovation projects, many of which valued up to $1M. Working with company executives in the residential renovation industry, I advanced into project management as well as site supervision while creating effective mentoring programs for their staff. I also consulted with business CEOs in the CRV training community to evaluate their business systems, implement changes in business focus and strategy. I was a key player helping companies implement corporate restructuring and reorganization to produce higher company profit, improved employee morale and increased customer satisfaction.I believe being pro-active and positive creates a 'win-win' situation for everyone. I back that up with excellent workmanship, a focus on safety, quality control, high standards for business and personal ethics as well as sound management practices.
