• Administrate quality therapeutic childcare services within the framework of a total psychiatric milieu treatment program for adolescent boys with trauma• Maintain a leadership role to both staff and residents on the unit• Utilize strong rapport with the residents, being present in crisis intervention and processing• Complete accurate documentation for the shift report, unusual incidents, restraints, and restrictive procedures

• Provide quality therapeutic structured activities for the Discovery Unit as part of the treatment team for teenage boys who have experienced trauma• Develop new weekly activities for the children, including “Baking Classes”, “Tournaments”, and “National Days”• Run the Unit store, which provides opportunity for the children to earn and spend tickets based on their positive behaviors• Maintain wellness plan for residents that aims to achieve beneficial health ambitions

• Provide a structured environment for male, teenage residents with past trauma• Monitor residents, complete clinical documentation, and medication administration• Educate residents on living, social, and coping skills to aid in their treatment• Implement Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI certified)• Work alongside Masters level clinicians, senior staff, and psychiatric team

• Assist with research studies aimed to understand how parents influence their child’s cognitive development, specifically focusing on how parents support their child’s math learning• Transcribe videos observing parent and child free-play interactions in both home and lab settings for instances of parent math and spatial input• Attend bi-weekly lab meetings to discuss relevant literature• Work on an independent project with a graduate student mentor to create a new coding scheme and analyze data focusing on how children’s attention and responsiveness to parental input may predict the child’s math achievement• Prepare and present posters for submission to international conferences
