Simply a change to Limited Company to suit training providers

I have conducted sales and negotiation skills courses for Barclays, Bank of Scotland, and have been delivering sales related courses on an associate basis for a number of other training consultancies providers including Pareto Law. Maguire Training, Lammore Consulting. Their clients included Autotrader, Trent & Dove Housing Association. Until December 2008 I ran a 20 strong FieldForce of self employed sales merchandisers calling on major retailers, merchandising and promoting Benecol and Splenda brands. Because of budget reduction this is now down to a team of 3, primarily reporting in availability, promotional compliance and competitor data.

During this period I worked with the company as Account Director and independent consultant before rejoining as a board Director. My responsibilities covered sales and marketing, training design and delivery and consultancy assignments on projects covering management development, sales, marketing, and customer service and relationship management. Clients include Bank of Scotland, Royal & Sun Alliance, CGU, and Swinton.

I was appointed to the board as company Operations Director with a team of two Directors, three Senior Project Managers, and 20 training consultants and associates. During this time I was involved in many management development, customer service and change management projects. Significant clients included Royal Bank of Scotland, Nationwide Building Society, Anglian Water, Top Shop, Butlins, Addis and Marks and Spencer. I also worked regularly at Group Board level on HR issues and preparation for stock market launch.

I was a successful area representative and Branch Manager before appointment as Sales Training Manager where I designed and ran an Advanced Sales Programme for 250 Branch Managers. During this time I was a member of a small senior team responsible for marketing and product development. I was made Head of Training in 1983 before leaving on the merger to become a consultant.

Executive Training Officer and Course Director in the Executive Training Unit, responsible for training all Executive level staff for the new Jobcentre network, This involved supervisory and management skills and sales training. It was here that I undertook an extensive and demanding trainer development programme.
