Stand-up comedian for the past 9 years. I've had two series on BBC Radio 4 - Tom Mayhew is Benefit Scum - and written for/performed on BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 4 Extra, BBC News,and C4 News.I also produce and host a podcast, The Snooker Loopy Podcast, available on all podcasting platforms.My writing often focusses on my experiences of growing up working-class, and my adult life being on benefits. I make sure to challenge and tackle the negative stereotypes associated with both, as people from my background are rarely given a chance to do so, particularly through comedy.
