Tom McCabe is an award-winning teacher, author and filmmaker. An adjunct professor at the University of Notre Dame, London Global Gateway, he currently teaches a history course, "Britain and the Global Game." Previously, he taught courses at Rutgers University Newark on Newark, the United States and soccer. Dr. McCabe served as an administrator, teacher and coach at St. Benedict’s Prep for 15 years. His first book, MIRACLE ON HIGH STREET, is a history St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark. He has also written and directed two documentary films, SOCCERTOWN, USA and VOICE OF THE GAME. His current book project delves into the early history of the game in the United States and the working title is THE DEAR OLD MUG: A Journey into Early American Soccer. Born and bred in the Garden State, he now lives in London, England. He played college soccer at Princeton University and while he still plays, it now usually takes his body a few days to recover.
