HelmAG is a business and economic consultancy which focuses on the refinement and implementation of strategy. Its approach and methodology builds on Dr McCarthy’s own research, his direct experience of organisational leadership, and background in advising and mentoring across the public and private sectors. Dr McCarthy currently serves as Chairman of the Governance Board of the APC Microbiome Institute at University College Cork. He is past Chairman of the Irish Advisory Council on Science, Technology & Innovation and Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors & Guardians of the National Gallery of Ireland.
