Started in Maintool 1978, as an apprentice engineer, During my apprenticeship learned grinding, fitting manual milling and manual turning, learned how to read drawings and problem solve.. And work as part of a team On my last year of my 4 year apprenticeship I moved onto a Cnc lathe, this is when I felt that I could make it in engineering. After a 4 years operating, setting cnc lathes, I went onto work a takisawa cnc Lathe, it had FAPT programming on board, this is when I started to learn cnc Lathe programming10 years later, 1996, l began to programming using CAPT T.. In 2004 I was promoted to programme all Cnc lathes in out factory.. This time using MastercamIn 2011 I was again promoted, this time to manufacturing engineer, as well as programming, I was helping apprentices learn the lathes, I would make sure we had the correct tooling to do jobs. if we did not have the tooling I was responsible for locating and buying tooling in.. I had to deal with customers on a day to day basis. December 2016, due to the recession, we were bought over, by AMS Manufacturing, where I continued my job as Manufacturing Engineer.
