My main motivation is my clients, and being there with them for that initial moment when they have that look on their face - of understanding - a realisation - that glimmer of hope in the darkness. There is way forward and it is possible … to make a change.I pride myself on my ability to connect with people from all walks of life.Not just my clients, but my team mates and other helping professionals. I am highly organised and meticulous in my administrative duties/case-notes/reports. I take great pride in the work that I do in the AOD sector. AOD and mental health is not a field for idealists or the faint hearted. It is challenging and stressful, and there is a high level of practitioner burnout. I have learned over the years, that as a practitioner, I can only be effective in my role if I take care of my own mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
