Responsible for reviewing all project estimates >$5M and personally prepare conceptual estimates on major worldwide projects such as European Drug Product facility, Asian Drug Substance and Drug Product facilities using disposable technologies and Asian API facility with project values up to $400M. Responsible for setting project team Target Budgets using Lean Construction methodologies. Responsible for benchmarking all major projects using a variety of information sources such as Construction Industry Institute, Engineering /Construction contractors and internal data base. Established internal historical database using cost effective 3rd party software. Familiar with all types of facilities: admin, labs, manufacturing, fill/finish, warehouse, central utility plant, etc.

Management and project controls and engineering responsibilities at home office – Birmingham, Al. , regional office - Baton Rouge, La., and project jobsites – Escanaba, Mi. and Ardmore, Ok. Management experience included Estimating Manager, Project Controls Manager and Contracts Administration Manager. Gained hands on field experience in seeing work performed. Prepared quantity takeoffs, monitored craft productivity, prepared project budgets, monitored cost and prepared and monitored CPM schedules. Clients included Union Carbide, Uniroyal Tire Company, and Mead Pulp & Paper Company.
