Became independent consultant while searching for a company to purchase.Primary customer was a bank with some substantial credit problems centered around two automobile leasing companies. Discovered major fraud in one of them, assisted bank in taking over this company, integrating it into a bank department, fixing credit and operating area and was ask to manage the area while training bank personnel and developing a manager.Also consulted with Advertising a Public Relations firm. Developed plan to fix serious cash flow problems and to raise immediate funds.

Came in to turn around the banks leasing and secured lending business, mostly to middle market customers, In one year turned quarterly losses of $230k to $660k profits. We grew assets 50% to $300MM in first twelve months with minimal credit risks. I second year we created a new department for small leveraged buy outs from $10MM-$100MM in size. Managed due diligence which lead to the purchase of a billion dollar affiliated leasing company and then worked on integrating my group into theirs integrating.

This company was a holding company of financial service and other companies that was losing $7.8MM annually. Was brought in to turn it around and was able to turn profitable in sixteen months, The 11 companies included a full service stock brokerage company, a full service insurance company, a real estate franchisor (Gallery of Homes), two of their franchisees, a California Thrift and Loan, a real estate relocation company, a film and video company, Metroteller, an ATM system and a technology company. Developed financial planning and goals in each subsidiary.Reorganized brokeage and insurance companies, greatly limiting and focusing there product lines and more closely tying them to the parent banks customers.Replaced four of current presidents, filling half of those from within and the other two through recruiting. Eliminated non profitable lines and created new products focused on the future. Increased revenues 43% while holding expenses to 21% growth.

Managed $2.2 billion secured lending business credit as SVP of the bank and president of its largest non banking subsidiary, Chemical Business Credit Corp. One of co-founders of leasing area, was originally involved in very large ticket leveraged leasing.Negotiated these large and complicated financing with up to 15 different entities involved.
