I'm a Program Director at EcoAgriculture Partners, where I lead the 1000 Landscapes for 1 Billion People (1000L) initiative. My role is to coordinate the crosscutting workstreams of the 1000L program teams and Hub to ensure that activities are aligned, integrated, and progressing towards the goals of 1000L. I coordinate and build alignment among the Partnership of 1000L to leverage their strengths and unite all the organizations to achieve 1000L's goals.

I coordinated the Regional Conservation Partnership Program in Oregon. This represented managing over $100 million in partnership-based landscape-scale projects located throughout the state.

I worked with USFWS Science Applications program to coordinate landscape-scale approaches to science, collaboration and strategy. Highlights include:● I was the Coordinator for the Cascades to Coast Landscape Collaborative, a collective impact effort for conservation and resource management in the Northwest coastal landscape. This involves convening stakeholders, social network analysis, ecosystem assessment, and collaborative strategy development. ● I worked with the Landscape Conservation Cooperatives on several landscape assessments and planning efforts in the Northwest, including the Columbia Plateau and the Northwest Basin and Range. I was a key team member on the development of the practice of Landscape Conservation Design, a framework developed by the DOI and partners to integrate ecological and human elements in allocating resources. ● I developed a data mining and optimization analysis of important areas for subsistence fisheries use and biodiversity conservation in the Bering Sea.● I managed two wetland assessment and mapping projects at Camas and Willapa National Wildlife Refuges.● I lead the development of a collaborative assessment of forested areas in Oregon and Washington for ecosystem services, conservation and economic criteria. ● I was the lead for developing a National-scale Return-on-Investment (ROI) analysis for the US Fish and Wildlife Service. This combined economic, social and conservation data to identify optimal investment portfolios.

I was the lead Conservation Planner for an international conservation NGO, focused on salmon. I focused on highly collaborative science-based assessments to inform salmon conservation decisions across broad ecoregional scales. ● I led a collaborative effort to assess watershed condition and conservation priorities on the Oregon North Coast. ● I developed Intrinsic Potential models of salmon species. ● I developed a watershed assessment that led to the protection of one of the last wild rivers in Hokkaido, Japan.● I was the lead on the development of highly collaborative assessments for conservation of salmon populations in OR, WA, and CA for the North American Salmon Stronghold Partnership. This led to the designation of wild salmon “strongholds” in multiple states.

I was project and budget manager, team lead, and program coordinator for over 2 million dollars’ worth of successful contracts with the USGS, NOAA, and state and local governments. I was the manager, lead analyst and budget officer for the Northwest Regional Gap Analysis Project. This project mapped ecological systems across broad ecoregions and has been a foundational information base in regional planning.

CVI is focused on the Appalachian bioregion. My role as a Geographer was to integrate environmental and economic variables to understand conservation priorities in the bioregion.

This was a 1 year contract funded by the UK Department for International Development to develop a sustainable GIS facility for conservation efforts in Cameroon. Tasks included fund raising, marketing, GIS analysis and mentoring Cameroonian colleagues. This facility lasted for 10 years and was a center of excellence in the country.

I spent one year of service in the Peace Corps to promote, teach, and implement methods of sustainable farming in the humid highlands of Cameroon. I also helped initiate a community service center in my village. I went through intensive training in French. I was able to provide trainings in remote sensing in French.

Research assistant focused on remote sensing and landscape ecology. My focus was on the integration of spatial technology and landscape ecology to address management questions.
