My role had a number of of different duties such as cooking alone and as part of a team, prepping the breakfasts, kitchen and dinning room the night before. I took bookings over the phone, by e-mail, in person with payments being made with card, cash and cheque and also dealt with enquires.Also during the shift I would help ensure and maintain the standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hostel's public areas and keeping on top of the kitchen and self-catering kitchens. Other duties included checking the food and drink stocks and creating the orders lists for food and drink and upon their delivery ensuring everything which we had ordered had been delivered and that nothing had been sent in error before signing for them then storing the items.When on late shifts my tasks would include the building was locked and secured, nothing blocking emergency escapes, count the days takings and making sure they balanced up with what was on the system before locking them away/
