This position also included included having responsibility for arranging meetings and agenda to discuss shipyard requirements for new technology. Monitoring progress and reporting on individual shipyard projects for presentation to the British Shipbuilders Board of Directors. Other duties included contributing to the 'Composite Shipyards' section of the British Shipbuilders Five Year Plan (1985). Strong inter-personal skills and good communication abilities were a per-requisite for this role.
