Legal Administrator
Current• Manage and coordinate the human resources functions for the support staff. • Determine non-attorney staff needs in coordination with Senior Partners. • Interview and screen applicants for non-attorney and intern positions. • Supervise the training of non-attorney and intern personnel. • Perform quarterly and annual evaluations for non-attorney personnel.• Coordinate vacation schedules of non-attorney personnel. • Counsel non-attorney personnel who are not complying with Firm procedures and requirements and take appropriate disciplinary action when necessary. • Handle termination of employment for non-attorney employees after consultation with the Senior Partners. • Conduct non-attorney personnel meetings. • Maintain personnel records for all employees. • Assist Senior Partners in planning and implementing the Firm’s annual budget. • Track client developments and payments. • Financial and tax reporting. • General ledger and trust accounting. • Assist with billing and collections. • Cash flow control. • Manage banking relationships. • Secure and manage appropriate maintenance contracts for computer hardware and software systems. • Manage records retention, including information storage, retrieval and destruction. • Manage reference materials and subscriptions. • Manage telephone system, doing periodic evaluations of the telephone system to verify proper call handling. • Produce radio and television ads for broadcast.• Design print ads for newspaper and fliers.
