- Management of all strategic communications, messaging and media across the QRU - Provide media advice and training for QRU Board, Chairman, CEO, senior executive members, Reds coaches and players - Maintain and build positive relationships and constructive communications with QRU Board, Chairman, CEO, Reds head coach and team management - Maximise media coverage through maintaining and building positive relationships with media and rugby stakeholders- Travel with the Queensland Reds to provide risk management and support to head coach, management and players as well as broadcast and media while on tour with the team- Creation of Reds digital content (photo and video) while travelling for away matches with the team- Oversee and management of all QRU press conferences - Oversee and management of all digital communications content across web and social media platforms- Management of content production for Reds match day programs- Prepare, collate and assist production of QRU Annual Report- Internal spokesperson, presenter and master of ceremonies for key QRU events and Reds home matches

· Assist the management of all corporate communications for the organisation· Assist the delivery of Queensland Rugby’s corporate, strategic and staff communication messages · Management of rugby related communications for the Queensland Reds· Management and execution of daily/weekly media strategies for the Queensland Reds· Management of the ‘Reds Media Unit’: preparing, filming, photographing, editing and uploading/sending unique and innovative content to rugby and media stakeholders both in Brisbane for home matches and for away matches while travelling around the world with the team· Maximise news and media coverage of the Queensland Reds, plus · Maximise Queensland Rugby’s profile and maintain/improve stakeholder communication · Create and oversee online content including the posting of social media content across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn· The development (with the GM of Communications) of detailed communications plans outlining digital content from all areas of the business designed to create 24/7 fan avidity · Assist the delivery of ongoing media training to Reds players and coaching staff · Delivery of annual National Rugby Championship (NRC) media plan focused on the promotion of the QRU’s two teams (Brisbane City and Queensland Country)· Management of rugby related communications for Brisbane City in the NRC· Assist with the mentoring and development of junior communications and creative unit staff

· Define, monitor and report on traditional media, social media, websites and also digital engagement KPIs· Write weekly press releases, match reports and match preview articles for Queensland Firebirds matches and relevant Netball Queensland competitions and community events· Devise and deliver creative written content across Firebirds and Netball Queensland channels· Manage reactive day-to-day media requests· Proactively promote Firebirds matches and Netball Queensland events, competitions and programs to maxmise news coverage· Create, publish and catalogue relevant news articles across Firebirds and Netball Queensland websites· Manage the Firebirds social media handles across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram· Devise and deliver pre-season, in-season and post-season content plans· Deliver Firebirds and Netball Queensland member newsletter and communications· Produce written content for Firebirds match day programs· Work with graphic designers to produce visual social media assets to enhance brand awareness and fan engagement

· Responsible for the production and content of two daily sports bulletins for Nine News Queensland· Manage a team of five journalists and presenters · Sub and write scripts, plus structure weekly rosters for staff · Liaise with Wide World of Sports to coordinate content for live NRL and netball broadcasts · Sort accreditation and travel logistics for NRL finals series and State of Origin coverage· Facilitate camera/journalist logistics with Chief of Staff & News Director to provide local daily content· Communicate with sports contacts to develop exclusive content

· Source, write, produce, edit and voice various sports stories for daily news bulletins· Perform live crosses on location, or from the newsroom/studio for daily news bulletins· Present the sports break live from the studio for both 4pm and 6pm news bulletins· Interview players, coaches and officials from both local and national sporting organisations

· Perform pre and post-match interviews with Super Netball players and coaches · Provide insight commentary and injury updates, plus further interviews during live matches

· Announce live score updates, team changes, rule explanations and advertisements at Suncorp Stadium

· Source, write, produce, edit and voice various sports stories for daily news bulletins & The Today Show· Interview players, coaches and officials from both local and national sporting organisations

· Source, write, produce, edit and voice various sports stories for daily 6pm news bulletin· Live present the sports break from the studio for the 6pm news bulletin· Interview players, coaches and officials from both local and national sporting organisations
