Having been a 'Saturday ' boy at the Centre , I became GM 25 years later,responsible for a team of 150 and ensuring delivery to each of the 5 key stakeholders- customers, retailers, community, the Brent Cross team and the owners.

Elected by the members to represent the views of Shopping Centre Management at regular Board meetings. Founder member of the Customer Service working party that created the annual ACE awards recognising excellence in service

Drove the establishment of the Board in collaboration with the City Council Leadership and Private sector partners, eventually recruiting a CC Director to lead the organisation. This was the precursor to a full BID.

Initially appointed by the leader of the Council, i chaired the LSP for 4 years. This was a partnership of heads of each of the public services, selected private sector leaders and the Council executive and political leadership.The LSP was accountable for the Borough 10 year strategy and its delivery by key stakeholders

Starting as a graduate trainee, i spent 6 years in stores, including Marble Arch, where I was the youngest ever Senior DM. I then moved in to merchandising and worked my way up through a number of departments until I was eventually in charge of blouses and dresses as Executive of a team of 100.
