    General Engineer (GS-14) in the Human Element and Ship Design Division, Office of Design and Engineering Standards, US Coast Guard Headquarters. Currently Office's Alternate Compliance Program (ACP) Manager responsible for the coordination of all ACP related activities throughout the Office, spanning five divisions. The ACP is an alternate inspection program for U.S. Flag vessels by domestic and foreign classification societies. Responsible for the oversight of the U.S. Supplements for each classification society as well as all USCG authorizations to foreign classification societies.Selected as the technical project manager on a key rulemaking project, responsible for the full coordination, leadership and development of the technical portion of the rulemaking project spanning over two years. This rulemaking project was one of the more complex projects undertaken within the Directorate in recent years and had high visibility due to recent enacted Congressional legislation. Responsible for ensuring developed regulations met new legislation requirements while maintaining minimal impact on USCG operations. Responsible for technical team input and integration of technical content across numerous subject areas requiring oversight of all technical subject matter experts to ensure compliance with the Directorate’s goals, recommendations and policies.
