I assisted Graduate and Post-doctoral researchers in microbiological work. I began working there on three different projects and have since learned basic lab techniques including microscopy, surface sterilizations, fungal isolations as well as field data collection. The purpose of this most recent experiment is to compile the composition of fungal communities under different seasonal and landscape conditions. Outside of the lab I will be continuing field work to set up and prepare a field experiment in Marin county.

In this position, my duties were to organize and lead work days and general cleanups to maintain our house. I learned a lot of new skills about house maintenance and how to organize and lead large projects with people of varying skill levels.
