Process Improvement Engineer

Primary responsibilities:-Manage, and / or contribute to, the design and implementation of manufacturing processes across all departments including overall layout, Takt time development, workstation design, inventory strategy and staffing requirements.-Identify and manage waste or constraints in existing processes to improve throughput.-Use PDCA, Fishbone Diagrams, Value Stream maps for problem solving, Root Cause analysis and system evaluation.-Use Gantt charts to ensure projects stay on time and in budget.-Use A3 Reports to maintain problem solving methods, effective communication and gain approval.-Develop metrics and analyze data to ensure Quality, Efficiency and Safety standards are being upheld. -Communicate between cross- functional teams including Department Managers, Inventory, Facilities, Engineering and Scheduling staff to ensure resource requirements such as layout, tooling, staffing and training are met.-Work with the assembly staff to support production needs as required and as always, continually improving the process. This includes teaching, coaching and discussing improvement methods and ideas and gaining buy-in.-Develop and implement visual controls and other mistake- proofing methods.-Conduct group brainstorming sessions.
